Marketing & Communications Policy
Effective Date: September 19, 2026
This policy outlines how Ardcast Services Limited communicates with you, your choices regarding these communications, and the technologies we use to measure engagement.
1. Types of Communication
We classify our communications into two distinct categories:
1.1. Transactional & Service Messages (Mandatory)
These are essential for the operation of your account or the fulfillment of your orders. You cannot opt-out of these messages. They include:
Order confirmations and invoices.
Password resets and security alerts (e.g., "New login detected").
Updates to our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
Critical downtime notifications.
1.2. Marketing & Promotional (Optional)
These messages are designed to inform you about new features, products, or offers. You may opt-out at any time. They include:
Newsletters and blog digests.
Special offers and discount codes.
Announcements of new app features or tools.
2. Consent & "Soft Opt-In"
We send marketing communications based on one of two legal grounds:
Explicit Consent: You ticked a box saying "Sign up for newsletter" or entered your email into a subscribe form.
Soft Opt-In (Legitimate Interest): Under UK/EU law (PECR), if you have previously purchased a product or service from us, we may send you marketing about similar products or services, provided we gave you the chance to opt-out at the time of purchase.
3. Tracking Technologies
To help us improve our communications, our emails may contain tracking technologies.
Open Tracking: We use invisible "pixels" (1x1 images) to detect if you have opened an email. This helps us clean our lists by removing inactive subscribers.
Click Tracking: Links within our emails may be wrapped in a tracking URL to tell us which links are most popular.
If you do not wish to be tracked, you should disable images in your email client or unsubscribe from our marketing lists.
4. Push Notifications
Our mobile applications may send Push Notifications to your device.
Transactional Pushes: E.g., "Your file conversion is complete."
Promotional Pushes: E.g., "New features added."
You can control these notifications at a granular level via the "Settings" menu within the App or via your operating system's (iOS/Android) Notification Center.
5. Unsubscribing
You have the absolute right to stop receiving marketing communications at any time.
How to Unsubscribe:
Click the "Unsubscribe" link found at the bottom of any marketing email.
Adjust your preferences in your Account Settings dashboard.
Contact us at privacy@ardcast.com.
Please allow up to 48 hours for your request to propagate through our systems. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect your receipt of Transactional Messages.
